About Us
Our Mission
AuctionKhoj was created with a simple goal: to make bank auction property information in India easy to find, easy to understand and free to access. Every year, banks, financial institutions, asset reconstruction companies, Debt Recovery Tribunals and insolvency professionals publish thousands of auction notices for residential flats, commercial shops, industrial land, plant and machinery, vehicles and gold ornaments. These notices are public, but they are scattered across newspapers, hundreds of bank websites and several different e-auction portals, often in formats that are hard to search. We bring that public information together in one place so that home buyers, investors, small businesses and first-time bidders can discover opportunities without spending hours hunting for them.
What We Do
AuctionKhoj is an information and discovery platform. We collect publicly published auction notices, organise the key details into a consistent format and present them in a way that can be searched and filtered. For each listing we aim to show the essentials at a glance, such as:
- The bank or institution conducting the sale and the branch or authorised officer involved
- The type of asset, its location, city and state
- The reserve price, earnest money deposit (EMD) and bid increment, where published
- Important dates, including the inspection date, EMD submission deadline and auction date and time
- The legal basis of the sale, for example SARFAESI, DRT recovery, IBC liquidation or a vehicle or gold auction
- A link or reference to the original notice or the e-auction portal where bidding takes place
We also write plain-language guides that explain how bank auctions work, what documents are usually required and what questions a careful buyer should ask before bidding.
Where Our Information Comes From
All listings on AuctionKhoj are based on information that has already been made public by the selling institution or the relevant authority. In general terms, our sources include official websites of public sector, private sector and co-operative banks, government-backed and private e-auction platforms such as BAANKNET, notices published on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) website for liquidation sales, orders and sale proclamations connected with Debt Recovery Tribunals, and notices published in newspapers as required by law. We do not obtain information from private or confidential sources, and we do not publish anything that has not already been placed in the public domain by the concerned institution.
How Listings Are Updated
New auction notices are published every day, and auctions are frequently postponed, re-scheduled, withdrawn or settled by the borrower before the sale date. We review our sources on a regular, ongoing basis and add new notices as they become available. When we become aware that an auction date has passed or a notice has been withdrawn or changed, we update or archive the listing. Despite these efforts, there can be a delay between a change made by a bank and the moment it is reflected on our website, and errors can occur when notices are summarised. That is why every listing should be treated as a starting point for your own research, not as the final word. Always read the official sale notice and confirm the details directly with the authorised officer before you pay any money or submit a bid.
Independent and Not Affiliated With Any Bank
AuctionKhoj is an independent website. We are not a bank, an auctioneer, an e-auction service provider, a broker or an agent of any bank, asset reconstruction company, tribunal or insolvency professional. We do not conduct auctions, accept bids, collect earnest money or sell any property. Bank names and logos, where shown, are used only to identify the source of a notice and do not imply any partnership or endorsement. Browsing the site is free. We keep it free by showing display advertisements from Google AdSense and other advertising partners; advertising does not influence which auctions we list or how we describe them.
How to Use AuctionKhoj
- Search and filter. Browse by city, state, bank, asset category, price range or auction date to narrow down listings that match your needs.
- Open the listing. Review the summary, note the reserve price, EMD and key dates, and follow the link to the official notice.
- Save favourites. Mark listings you are interested in as favourites. Favourites are stored in your own browser, so no account is needed.
- Get free alerts. Subscribe with your email address and preferred city, and optionally a category, to receive notifications about new auctions. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Verify and inspect. Contact the authorised officer named in the notice, inspect the asset on the scheduled date and check title documents, dues and legal status, ideally with help from a lawyer.
- Bid on the official platform. Register, pay the EMD and place bids only through the channel specified in the bank's own sale notice.
Help Us Keep Listings Accurate
If you notice an error in a listing, or learn that an auction has been cancelled or postponed, please let us know through our contact page or by writing to contact@auctionkhoj.com. Banks and authorised officers are welcome to send us their auction notices for listing free of charge. Your feedback helps every visitor make better-informed decisions.
